Dear Ginco users,
Here are the instructions of our BCH splitting function. If you held your BCH before the hard fork, or if you have sent BCH that contain BitcoinSV in its private key, please complete your splitting before sending your BCH.
The splitting function is available on Ginco iOS after ver 2.2.0.
Please complete your update in order to implement the split. Please note that after the release, the distribution of the latest version may take some time.
What is splitting?
If you held BCH in Ginco before the hard fork, your BCH is tied with BitcoinSV, which could cause unintentional sending of BitcoinSV.
Our splitting function would separate your BCH and BitcoinSV. This allows you to safely send your BCH and BitcoinSV individually.
The splitting function has been added to your Ginco iOS in our latest version 2.2.0. By pressing a "Split" button on your BCH card, you could safely split your funds.
For your asset's safety, if you have been holding BCH before the hardfork, please complete the splitting before sending BCH.
Upon splitting, please be careful about the following points:
- The transaction for splitting will be created using your private key.
- The splitting will complete in two transactions, which requires a small amount of fee.
- Please try it in an environment with a good internet connection.
How to split
Find your BCH card from your wallet.
Please read the description for the splitting. If you agree to continue, press "Confirm split" button.
※If your balance is insufficient for splitting, the following screen will appear.
The splitting process will start running. Please wait until it is completed.
Once the split is completed, this screen will appear.
Press "Close" to go back to your home screen.
Make sure there are two transactions generated in the transaction history section in your wallet.
※ In the fee section, due to our design, it says 0 BCH. This is correct, so please do not worry about the display.
That's all for the splitting.
How can I send my BitcoinSV?
After completing the split, you can safely check your balance and send your BitcoinSV by importing Ginco's backup phrase intto the other wallet.
